Rochester Regional Health to adopt Enterprise Health Occupational EHR
Fort Wayne, Ind., August 17, 2021 — Rochester Regional Health, an integrated health services organization serving the people of Western New York, the Finger Lakes and St. Lawrence County has contracted with Enterprise Health to implement its occupational and employee health IT solution. The organization will use the solution to document and manage occupational and employee health including pre-placement exams, health surveillance exams, workplace injuries and illnesses, acute care, immunizations and completion of OSHA compliance documentation and reporting.
Enterprise Health is a comprehensive employee health solution that combines occupational health and compliance, primary care and employee engagement on a single, interoperable, cloud-based certified EHR platform. The solution is used by some of the largest health systems, educational institutions and government agencies in the U.S. as well as large, blue chip corporations that manage the health of employees globally.
“Like many health systems, the team at Rochester Regional Health understands that documenting and managing employee and occupational health requires specific health IT functionality that is not available in the same electronic health record system used to manage patient health information,” explained Jeff Donnell, president of Enterprise Health. “In addition to overall benefits that will be gained from Enterprise Health’s specialized functionality, using a separate system for managing employee health will minimize security and privacy risks associated with storing employee health data in the same system that is used for patients.”
With more than 20,000 employees, Rochester Regional Health is the region’s second-largest employer. The system includes nine hospitals; primary and specialty practices, rehabilitation centers, ambulatory campuses and immediate care facilities; innovative senior services, facilities and independent housing; a wide range of behavioral health services; and Rochester Regional Health Laboratories and ACM Global Laboratories, a global leader in patient and clinical trials.
Implementation of Enterprise Health is underway and expected to go live by the end of 2021.
