Every October since 2004, the National Cyber Security Alliance & the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has observed National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). NCSAM is a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.
The purpose of NCSAM is to encourage personal accountability and proactive behavior in digital privacy, security best practices, common cyber threats and cybersecurity careers. In order to promote personal accountability, the 2019 theme is ‘Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.’
Enterprise Health has taken personal accountability to heart and has been participating in NCSAM since 2014 by sending weekly communications during October to our employees that align with the NCSAM theme. As a way to publicly show our support for NCSAM, Enterprise Health is also a NCSAM Champion organization. Champions represent organizations dedicated to promoting a safer, more secure and more trusted Internet.
Be sure to follow NCSAM at the Twitter handle #BeCyberSmart and take two minutes to watch the videos on the #BeCyberSmart Campaign webpage. The videos are informative, humorous and well worth the time. While you are there, check-out the other webpages — some great stuff!
